Easter Celebration: Indomie donates to orphanages

To commemorate  the celebration of Easter with  the less privileged in the society especially the orphans and aged ones as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Dufil Prima Foods Plc, makers of Nigeria’s No.1 Noodle brand, Indomie instant noodles has donated several cartons of its products to some selected Orphanages and Homes for the Aged. Easter is celebrated worldwide to mark the end of the Christian lenten period and its symbolic in the remembrance of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

The donation  which was carried out on Thursday April 21 started from the Heart of Gold, Auspices in Surulere, to the  Heritage Homes, Anthony Little Saints Orphanage Palm Groove Regina Mundi Old People’s Home in Mushin and Modupe Cole Orphanage Home, Akoka, all in Lagos.

According to the Public Relations Manager, Dufil Prima Foods, Mr. Temitope Ashiwaju, the donations is a way through which the company shows love to the less privileged in the society including the orphans and the Aged especially for the Easter celebration.

Ashiwaju further revealed that the company believes so much in giving a reasonable proportion of profit earned back to the society through its varied corporate social responsibility initiatives which he noted have far reaching effect in the lives of Nigerians. He recounted that the company recently empowered 30 people in Ifo local Government Area of Ogun State by helping them to start  small scale businesses in the Indomie Poverty Alleviation scheme by providing them with the Indomie Mobile restaurant otherwise known as “Indomie Buka”

‘In the recent past,we have also donated hospitals equipments to Paediatrics wards of major hospitals across the country to take care of the children and mothers, donation of Science Laboratory Equipments to Schools, refurbishment of community or Town Halls as well as drilling of boreholes,” he stated.

Reacting shortly after the presentation at the Regina Mundi Old People’s Home of the Regina Mundi Catholic, Archdiocese of Lagos, Reverend Sister Anthonia Adebowale eulogized Dufil Prima Foods for their usual support for the home and prayed that they continue to prosper.
