Meanwhile, the NSE will inaugurate its new ticker price on Friday (today) at the headquarters of the Exchange. The outgoing Interim Administrator of the Exchange, Mr. Emmanuel Ikazoboh, told journalists on Thursday that the ticker price would show to the public how the market fared daily.
Ikazoboh said that investors, especially those on the Island, where the NSE is located, would not have to wait till the next day to see how the market fared, but would be able to ascertain the status of the capital market at the close of trading for each day.
He added that the ticker pricing system and the face-lift of the exchange were some of the achievements recorded by his administration since August 5, 2010.
“The ticker price system will make available all the trading activities of the Exchange at the close of the day to the larger public, as people who pass by the Exchange will see how the NSE fared for that particular day,” he said.
Analysts at the Exchange also said that the peaceful polls had a way of impacting positively on the outcome of activities on the stock market, noting that investors were always at alert as regards the happenings in the society.
