IPMAN remains a united body – President

The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria has said it remained a united body charged with responsibility of ensuring effective distribution and supply of petroleum products to its members.

National President of IPMAN, Alhaji Abdulkadri Aminu, said this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria in Lagos on Wednesday.

He said that IPMAN was still one entity with the primary duty of ensuring effective distribution and supply of petroleum products to its members across the country at affordable prices.

“IPMAN is a major shareholder in the Nigeria Independent Petroleum Company and has no plan to pull out from the joint ownership of the company.

“We are not facing any challenge in accessing petroleum products at the NIPCO depot for delivery to our various stations,” the IPMAN chief said.

Aminu said that the relationship between NIPCO and IPMAN had been very cordial, particularly in ensuring uninterrupted supply of petroleum products across the country since NIPCO began operation in July 2004.

He said that both parties were already strategising on ways to explore more opportunities to ensure availability of products in the overall interest of the country.

NAN reports that NIPCO, formerly known as IPMAN Petroleum Marketing Company Limited, was incorporated as a limited liability company on January 8, 2001.
