O’net partners Concave Communications to improve network performance

Determined to reposition Odu’a Telecoms (O’net), and make it more efficient and responsive to the unfolding dynamics of the Nigerian telecoms market, Odu’a Investment Company Limited has sealed a partnership agreement with Concave Communications International Group, a Canadian based telecommunication firm to improve O’net network performance and enhance its coverage.

Under this agreement, Concave, with operations spread across North America, Europe, Middle East and Nigeria would provide technical manpower and funds for the system upgrade and overhaul of O’net, which would enable the company to be a dominant player in the South-West and beyond.

Present at the agreement signing ceremony, which was held at the Group  Headquarters of Odu’a Investment Company Limited in Ibadan, Oyo State, were representatives of Odu’a team, which include the Chairman of the company, Senator Brimmo Yemi Yusuf;  Group Managing Director, Mr. Adebayo Jimoh and two of her directors, Chief Kolapo Ogunjobi and Chief (Dr) Isaac Akintade.

Mr. Adesina Araoye, the Ag.  Chief Executive Officer, O’net, represented the telecoms company while representatives of Concave included  Mr. Ade Ayoola and Mr. Khalil Faouaz.

Mr. Ayoola said that the Canadian based telecoms group was determined to take advantage of the huge market in South-West in particular and Nigeria in general.

“The focus is to make O’net the preferred brand in a short time,” he said.

According to him, the new endeavour was aimed at harnessing the resources and strategic relationship already existing among O’net stakeholders in ensuring that top drawer solutions and technologies are deployed to the customers of O’net.”

He noted that Concave had already commenced deployment of the most modern switches and transmission equipment for seamless interconnection to O’net in order to improve her service delivery.

Odu’a Group Managing Director, Mr Adebayo Jimoh, said that the deal was to retool O’net and reposition it to meet the demands of its customers for sustainable service delivery, comparable with international best practices.

With the agreement, Concave has immediately taken over management of O’net and has redeployed some of its staff from Middle East and Canada to run the company.
