CIIN holds Miss Insurance dance

MISS Eberechukwu Chinyere Onuorah has emerged winner of the 2011 Miss Insurance Dance organised by the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN). Ebere who won the crown in a keenly contested competition, which featured 18 beautiful ladies, works in the Human Resource Department of Union Assurance Company Limited.

The 24 year old 2009 graduate of Economics from Caritas University, Enugu paraded an impressive 5ft 6ins height and 34,34,39 statistics. Ebere’s strong point in the contest, aside from her beauty was her ability to answer correctly, the quiz masters’ questions.

She also demonstrated a good sense of dressing, winning the judges’ approval by her amazing choice of dresses in the three appearances of the competition.

President of CIIN, Mr. Sunny Adeda, in his speech, declared that the Annual Miss Insurance Dance had become increasingly spectacular, stating that the scope had been widened over the years. Adeda stated: “The Governing Council of the institute, in consideration of the remarkable contributions of the dance to social engineering for members, expanded its scope and content base over the last three years.”

He further stated “This has translated to improved prizes for winners and runners-up and consequently higher stakes for the contestants.” The CIIN president said that the star prize of a brand new car was introduced to the contest in 2009 as a remarkable bold leap.

Adeda said that there was abiding evidence to prove that the Miss Insurance Pageant was a worthwhile venture.   According to him, the Dance engendered ‘a firm anchorage of insurance awareness on social interaction; the efficacy of beauty combined with brain and the promotion of women empowerment, sportsmanship, tolerance and the competitive spirit as well as provision of all-round development for the insurance industry workforce.
