Airtel launches SmartConnect with 4-in-1 SIMs

Airtel on Thursday, launched a smart product called SmartConnect, which comes with four SIM cards in a single pack, including bonuses of up to 200 per cent on every recharge.

Announcing the product at a media launch in Lagos, Airtel’s Chief Commercial Officer, Mr. Maurice Newa, said the SmartConnect product was designed for families and loved ones to stay connected and enjoy extended talk period at reduced rates.

Other benefits of the SmartConnect product include, seven hours midnight call from 11pm to 6 am at 11kobo/second, 15mb bonus on every N200 data bundle recharge, seven days validity on all bonuses, family and friend bonuses, and a pack of four SIM cards for the cost of one SIM card.

Customers can call any network with the airtime bonuses, Airtel assured its customers, adding that the product is open to new and existing customers.
According to Newa, Airtel, had in the past two months, consistently released revolutionary products to the delight of its customers, and the SmartConnect is just one of them.

He explained that the bonus attached to the package is open to all four users of the SIM cards, irrespective of who actually purchased the SIM cards. At the point of purchase, the buyer can decide to register all four SIMs in his name, or share them to family and friends members and allow each member to register his or her SIM with their individual names.

Newa called on Nigerians to come on board the Airtel network and experience real benefits from a telecoms company that cares for its customers.

He explained that Airtel is fully prepared to handle to influx of customers that will come on board the Airtel network, as a result of the introduction of SmartConnect, and assured them of continued service quality of the network.
“We have considered the number of people that will sign on the Airtel network this period, following the introduction of SmartConnect, and we have strengthened our network capacity to handle the situation,” Newa said.
