Pipeline explodes in Lagos
A pipeline explosion occurred on Saturday at Ijeododo in Ojo Local Government Area of Lagos State.
Panic-stricken residents, who said they initially thought it was an attack on the community, blamed the explosion on activities of vandals in the area.
DailyPost learnt that the explosion happened shortly after a heavy downpour across the commercial centre of the country.
The explosion had triggered a huge fire which was still raging as at 10pm.
Sources said that officials of the Pipelines Products Marketing Company, PPMC, visited the site about two hours after the explosion, but left due to lack of access road to the explosion scene.
