First Bank of Nigeria Limited has introduced a new card product that gives customers the freedom to design their debit naira MasterCard with favourite pictures.

The bank said during the First Bank Expression Cards Campus Storm at the University of Lagos on Monday that with the new product, the bank’s customers assumed control of the look and design of their MasterCard by exercising the freedom to print images of their loved ones and favourite moments of their lives on their cards.

The Head, Marketing and Corporate Communications, First Bank, Mrs. Folake Ani-Mumuney, said, “At First Bank, we know no two customers are alike and that’s why we are introducing a cool new feature that allows you to customise your MasterCard. Now you can personalise your debit card with pictures of yourself, loved ones or your favourite things and still enjoy the benefits that come with the MasterCard.”

She added that the bank would be moving the campus storm to other universities such as University of Ibadan, Enugu State University of Technology, Federal University of Technology Owerri and Ahmadu Bello University Zaria.

The Head, E-Business Group, First Bank, Mr. Chuma Ezirim, said rewarding the bank’s esteemed customers with the freedom to determine the design of their card was the bank’s way of appreciating their patronage and restating commitment to constantly seeking creative ways of delighting customers.

He said, “The freedom to choose is probably one of the best known and celebrated freedoms, especially when it relates to how we spend our money or what we do with instruments that yield money. Now, consider the freedom to design your electronic card with pictures of your child’s first steps, your wedding day or that moment you most cherish.

“That freedom to capture your individuality on your debit naira MasterCard card is what First Bank is offering customers through ‘expressions’, a new card product. Talk about a card you can really call your own, that’s what ‘expressions’ is all about.”

Ezirim said that ‘expressions’ card product had security features powered by an embedded microchip and a four digit PIN, stressing that the naira denominated card could be used for domestic and international transactions wherever the MasterCard logo was displayed.

“In addition to designing their electronic cards, customers with ‘expressions’ still enjoy the safe, secure, and convenient service the bank provides via its alternative channels including Point of Sale machines, the Internet and Automated Teller Machines globally,” he added.
