Equity Market Crosses N10 trillion Market Capitalization
Bullish Market
The Nigerian Stock Exchange crossed the N10 trillion mark in Wednesday’s trading session.
The performance of the bourse is off to a remarkable start this 2013, mostly due to bullish performance by consumer goods stocks, cement stocks and banking sector stocks.
The ASI closed up 1.49% to close at 31446.22. The market capitalization of the bourse hit N10.06 trillion.
Top ten stocks leading the market in capitalization is Dangote Cement N2.6 trillion, Nigerian Breweries N1.2 trillion, GTBank N721 billion, Zenith N640 billion, Nestle N594 billion, First Bank N587 billion, Guinness N420 billion, Access N248 billion, UBA N207 billion, and Lafarge N195 billion.
