Nigerian Stock Exchange Watch: ASI (+2.41%) Up Big In Week One
The All Share Index closed the first week of 2013 up 2.41% to settle at 28,538.06.
Friday saw the index appreciate by 0.34%, even as the market capitalization crossed N9.12 trillion.
Trading volumes were healthy with over 291 million shares traded. The aggregrate volume was valued at N2.37 billion.
The banking sector was pre-dominantly bullish on Friday with 8 winners vs 4 losers.
Stock Watch saw Fidelity (+9.68%) and Diamond (+6.27%) ahead of the pack.
