Samsung and Apple Patent War Escalates

The clash of the two smart phone titans, Apple and Samsung, continues as both battle to control the patent rights and space knowing how significant they are to developing and sustaining their leverage of the juicy smartphone and tablet market in the globe.

On the level of Patents and designs the South Korean giant is strongly making a case that the tussle is not over and would do everything to ensure that it holds its own and does not lose out of the competition in anyway.

Both Companies have seen their latest versions of smartphones the Iphone 5  for Apple and the Galaxy S3 for the Samsung flood the global markets with ambitious and desperate buyers eager to have a feel of the two best smartphones.

Samsung through its Head of Mobile Operations and IT Mr Shin Jong Kyun told reporters in Seoul, “The truth never lies. Without  Samsung-owned wireless patents, it’s impossible for the cupertino-based  Apple to produce its own handsets”. Which therefore explains the challenges that may unfold in the nearest future in its production of smartphones.

Mr Kyun further stated  “As you know  Samsung is very strong in terms of wireless patents”. Ever since the Ruling in August that gave Apple the edge over Samsung in North Carolina, the fierce rivalry between the two companies has intensified to an exponential level.

Meanwhile the Federal District Judge Lucy Koh will consider on December 6 whether the foreman jury in the Apple v Samsung case ‘concealed information’ during the jury selection process and whether there was misconduct in the process.

Samsung is fighting vigorously to  get the $1 billion that a San Jose California Jury awarded Apple in August thrown out. Apple had filed a complaint  suing Samsung for infringing on its Ipad and Iphone patents while Samsung countersued that Apple violated some of its patents.
