Union Bank Recruits 1,000 New Employees, Promotes 636

Union Bank of Nigeria Plc, as part of efforts to boost up the spirits of its employees and better the performance of the bank, it has employed about 1,000 staff and promoted another 636.

 

The head of Corporate Communications, Francis Barde disclosed this in a press release, he said, the bank achieved this over the last three years, adding that, the bank has concluded arrangement to hire 200 experienced professional staff in addition to 140 previously hired over the last three years.

 

The bank said, the exercise was part of its repositioning efforts “which has lifted the lender into the league of the top banks in the country, adding that it has “commenced two months intensive  training in three batches with the first batch of 120 very close to concluding their technical training, and the second batch recently commencing same.”

 

“A similar training was done for the 640 entry level staff initially employed two years ago. These groups of 640 staff are now about to commence another two and half weeks advance level training.”
