Draft of the Petroleum Industry Bill (2012)

The Presidency received the draft version of the latest Petroleum Industry bill (PIB) last weekend. It has forwarded the bill to its Cabinet for consideration before it will transmit it to the House of Assembly.
Foreign experts who worked as consultants on the PIB say it was designed to favour the Oil and Gas majors at the expense of the Nigerian people.
