CBN Competition Offers NYSC members Million Naira Opportunity

The Central Bank of Nigeria has thrown open its annual venture prize competition to serving corpers in the country.

The competition is part of its corporate social responsibility and in consonance with the principles of the National Economic Empowerment and Development Strategy (NEEDS).

The initiative amongst others is aimed at reducing the dependence on and the endless search for white collar jobs, arousing the entrepreneurial spirit of the Youth Corps Members during their service year, and empowering youths by encouraging them to take ownership of their entrepreneurship concepts and ideas. The competition is open to serving National Youth Corps Member in every batch of a given year as defined by the NYSC. The competition which is in two categories (State/ National) covers all legal business concepts except commerce.

The competition offers NYSC members an opportunity to win a national prize of N 1 million or State prize of N 200,000. Runners-up also receive other prizes.
