Survey Of Market Consumables Commences In 2012
As from the first quarter of the year 2012, the Institute of Public Analysts of Nigeria (IPAN) would commence a market survey of all consumables.
IPAN is recognized as one of the tools of the Federal Government in the health sector set aside for the achievement of the health-related matters.
A workshop which is organized by the Institute in Lagos has already been put in place to train the supervisors that would be involved in the survey.
According to the IPAN’s Registrar, Prof. David Olaleye, “the two-day training workshop is themed, ‘The Role of Public Analysts Towards Achievement of the Millennium Development Goals’.
The Register added that the laboratories of the Institute will be provided with all modern and quality equipments that can detect sub standard, fake and adulterated products in the Nigerian markets.
According to him, offenders that are caught during the exercise shall be passed to the appropriate authority for prosecution.
This exercise is a contribution towards the eradication poverty, promoting human dignity and environmental stability.
