By on January 10, 2013

The Nigerian Stock Exchange Watch dipped in today’s session as a result of the activities of profit takers on the banking sector. Some speculators were in the mood to turn some of their big gains into cool cash.

As a result most top-tier and mid-tier bank stocks declined. UBA (+0.88) was the only top tier stock in the green. Zenith (-6.19%), Access (-3.66%), GTBank (-3.93%) and FBN Holding (-2.67%) were in the negative.

Stanbic (+3.59%), Fidelity (+2.55%) and Diamond (+1.05%) were all in the positive.

Over 407 million shares valued at N3.5 billion were traded.
